Students will be matched with faith-based or
community mentor teams. All
mentors will be provided training and on-going support. A team of four adult mentors is matched with four YO: Durham
students. The
time commitment for mentors is approximately four hours per
month.
Mentor teams
will:

Provide
support and guidance
·Discuss
job related issues
·Meet
regularly with teens for career
exploration and social
activities, e.g. visit
local college campus, music
events,
lectures, sporting events
·Provide
safe environment for
dealing with personal issues
·
Review
and encourage academic progress
